So why PayPal, you ask? Good question.

I have given a lot of thought to how best to serve my customers while keeping costs manageable so I can maintain a generous discount structure while offering the best level of customer service you will find anywhere. The solution has to be efficient for you and for me alike and it has to be secure. It has to offer both of us fraud protection, purchase protection and traceability, all without complicating our lives with fees, accounting tasks and data storage and security concerns. PayPal is a joint venture combining the security and stability of Wells Fargo Bank, the oversight of the Federal Reserve and the technical and market expertise of Ebay. It is a new century approach to e-commerce.

I chose PayPal as my credit card processor after talking to the major banks, the smaller banks, the card agencies themselves and most importantly, my customers. 

PayPal is secure. I never even see your credit card number and that's just fine with me. What I don't possess, I don't have to secure. It communicates well. Whether I send you an "e-invoice" via email or whether you use a Buy It Now button on my site, you know what you are buying. You are in control. Your card information stays between you and the bank and I can concentrate on shipping your item(s) in an efficient manner.

I see this as a win-win situation. We are both protected from the unsavory types out there and we can do our business at a reasonable cost to me which ultimately translates into savings for you.

A FEW COMMON QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:

    But do I have to establish a PayPal account?

No. If you already have a PayPal account and wish to use it, that's fine. If you wish to make a one time purchase without the formalities of setting up an account, I specifically allow this on my transactions.

    What credit cards do you accept?

All of them. Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover.

    How secure is PayPal?

It's VERY secure. Only you and the bank see your credit card number via an encrypted online session. That's literally where the buck stops. I never see this information nor does anyone else. You are also protected by your own credit card company's protections as well as additional security by PayPal. It is more secure than using your credit card in a department store.

    I get cash back or airline points with my card. Will this still hold true for purchases I make from you?

Yes. Any perks you have set up are valid here.

    Is it difficult to use?

No. PayPal and I do all of the work at this end. By clicking on a Buy It Now button, the product information is loaded into a form you can review and approve. If I send you a customized "e-invoice", you also see all of the product details, descriptions, part numbers, etc. All you do is enter your address and credit card information. PayPal verifies this data and approves the transaction and I receive a notice to ship your order.
